Between balancing family life, work, errands, running kids around and getting everything else done for the day, we know finding time to workout can feel like yet another thing on the checklist you can’t get around to. But there’s an image going around social media recently that we think really puts things into perspective. Check out it below.


It’s a hard truth to handle, but we all know that exercising really is incredibly beneficial to your health! Here’s a few more reasons why you might want to squeeze in some time for a workout.

1. Working out makes you happier

If we had to guess, your first reaction to this was probably a big fat “yeah, right!” along with a chuckle. We get it. Working out can really suck. But studies show that regularly exercising releases more endorphins in your brain, which is a chemical that releases positive reactions throughout the brain. Start with something you enjoy, such as a sport, yoga or whatever you like and work your way up. We promise it’ll make you feel better in the long run.

2. Regular exercise gives you more energy

Another ironic benefit: increased activity actually gives you more energy. The more you move, the more your body responds and provides you with the necessary energy needed to make it through your day.

3. You’ll get a better night’s sleep

Studies are also showing that staying regularly involved in aerobic type exercises can help you get a better night’s sleep. And chances are, you might end up with more time in the day if you are actually getting a good night’s rest.

4. Gaining muscles burns more fat

As you gain muscle, your body starts to burn more calories, and yes, fats too in order to sustain the newly built muscle. So as much as you might hate hearing this, exercising really can be a great tool for losing weight.
